I’m a violinist, library assistant in a music conservatoire and musicologist.  My interests include librarianship, historical performance and early music, social media, travel and cooking.  I’m on Twitter: @MeganDyson3 and here’s my LinkedIn profile.  Views expressed here are my own.

My blog title plays on my interests in music and librarianship:  ‘notes’ referring to musical notes and ‘marks’ referencing both to marks on the written page and MARC, a bibliographic standard used by many libraries.  I started this blog whilst learning a bit of coding through P2PU’s School of Webcraft, and here you can see my early efforts.  All part and parcel of what is illustriously called my Continuing Professional Development, or, Skills I Need to Get/Stay Employed!  As an American living in the UK, I may also occasionally offer up thoughts on living abroad.
